小班 （18 個月 - 3 歲）Toddler Class (Year 1.5 to 3)
The Toddler program, for children 18 months-3years old, is the most critical period for development in life. During this period they develop personality, absorb their surroundings and learn to communicate with others. The most essential skill they develop during this period is language. The MYKIDS program with an immersive language atmosphere takes advantage of this period by giving young children the opportunity to acquire the second language in their natural environment. Through the prepared environment and guidance from nurturing teachers, the classroom is a special place for the young child to begin his/her steps towards independence.
Toddler exercises and activities recognize that children learn by doing. Classroom materials are always accessible, attractive, safe, and geared for a child’s success. Teachers follow children’s lead by changing and developing new materials in response to the child’s need for variety and challenge as they grow and learn. The safe, caring atmosphere and nurturing teachers puts children and parents at ease and makes for a trusting, smooth transition to school.
大班（3 歲 - 6 歲 ） Early Childhood Class (Year 3 to 6)
In this mixed-age environment children spend three years in the same classroom getting to know each other and their teachers well. The continuity of returning to the same room each year makes for a strong classroom community, for children and parents alike.
The 3-6 yr old children learn by doing. The concrete materials in the classroom allow the children to explore the world through their senses, through touch and motion, and by observing and engaging with others. One main feature of Montessori education is its hands-on approach to learning. Students work with specially designed materials, manipulating and investigating until they master the lesson. Teachers guide students through the curriculum as children are ready for each new challenge, introducing lessons and then letting children practice what they have learned. As children grow, the classroom materials grow with them in order for the older children to use the materials to explore curriculum in new and deeper ways.
